  • Abstract
Research on time-domain responses characteristics of the broadband planar antenna illuminated by an in intentional electromagnetic pulses (EMP) is carried out in this paper. An efficient hybrid time-domain simulation method based on FDTD method combined with the c conformal technique is implanted for studying an EMP coupling with some typical broadband planar antennas widely used in the wireless communication systems. Our developed program code is used to capture the responses of the broadband planar antenna. The transient response characteristics of the broadband planar antenna in the presence of different EMPs are shown and compared in detail. These results are beneficial for further evaluating electromagnetic environment and electromagnetic protection of some complex communication.
