  • Abstract
In the course of implementing Lean Production Systems enterprises seek to avoid waste. This can lead to an increased workload for employees, if recovery times are reduced. If the workload is too high, quality problems and health issues of employees can be negative consequences. However, a workload chosen too low can lead to similar problems and a decline of the competitive position. Therefore, the determination of an ideal workload is in the interest of both enterprises and employees. The article outlines the factors of human performance and develops an approach for determining the ideal workload.
