  • Abstract
    Binary Batch Distillation Column Pilot Plant available with us was running with Local Programmable Logic Controller (PLC). Performance enhancement of plant is done with two different aspects that are 1. To operate plant by different modes of control that is by different remote controllers. 2. To enhance the performance of product point of view that is quality of product, time required for the process and maximum extraction of product from feed. For different mode of control, the local PLC(Schneider M340), Remote Control Logic PLC, Remote Delta V DCS, Virtual PLC \\& Virtual DCS are connected in serial network, so that plant can be operated by remote controllers. Enhancement of plant by product point of view is done by doing programming by remote control strategies including PID combinations from control logic PLC \\& MPC from DeltaV DCS.
