Abstract :
Over the last decades CMOS technologies have evolved to a point where integrated inductors are becoming very popular. This paper presents the implementation of the inductor Pi-model in QUCS. The model lumped element values are evaluated through analytical expressions depending on the technological and the inductor geometrical parameters. The integration of the proposed Pi-model block with the EKV-MOSFET devices, offers the designer the possibility for simulating and optimizing RF-blocks such as Voltage controlled oscillators, low noise amplifiers or LC-filters, for any technology.
