Abstract :
Based on security constrained economic dispatch model, generation scheduling model for wind-thermal system is presented by introducing the wind curtailment penalty factor. The model digests the wind power preferentially, and sheds the wind power to ensure the security of the grid with some appropriate strategies. An actual provincial power system in China is examined. The results show that the model can optimizes the wind power generations and the thermal units jointly, and sheds the wind power under some prior orders when necessary. The model also satisfies the limit values of network constraints.
