Abstract
A static security preventive control approach considering thermal inertia of overhead line is proposed in this paper. Combined with dynamic thermal rating (DTR) technology, the approach considers temperature as overhead lines´ thermal limit, introduces heat balance equation (HBE) and thermal inertia time constraint of overhead line in preventive control model. Accordingly, the model is more realistic with the consideration of physic law of electro-thermal coupling, capable of making security preventive control decision satisfy the required time margin under post-contingency state, so the initiative of preventive control can be improved by controlling the thermal inertia and decision region can also be expanded by considering temperature and thermal inertia time constraint rather than power flow limit. Finally, numerical simulations are carried out to testify the validity of the proposed approach.
