  • Abstract
Franck-Hertz experiment is an important means of exploring the atomic structure, it is a bridge to know the micro process and macro performance of atom. The experimental apparatus in this paper adopted Frank-Hertz tube filled with neon. The emission spectrum of Frank-Hertz tube filled with neon is researched with grating spectrometer, and most of spectral lines were calibrated. It proves that the emission light caused by deexcitation process of neon atom in the process of collision between electron and neon is generated by the transition from the second excited state to the first excited state, rather than the transition from the first excited state back to the ground state.
