  • Abstract
In view of the widely used 1.55 μm coherent lidar for wind measurement, the theoretical analysis and numerical simulation is prepared. The theoretical analysis is made of four parts: the principle of wind measurement lidar, laser transmitter, the atmospheric transmission and signal processing. At the same time, the modeling of those parts and a numerical simulation are performed by MATLAB and Simulink. Results of a simple demonstration experiment coincide with those from the models, the coherent heterodyne signal can be clearly detected. Through the reverse calculation of peak of the simulation spectrum, the result accords with the given wind speed.
