            Abstract : 
A hybrid quadrature phase shift keying-modified multi-pulse pulse-position modulation scheme is proposed as a new modulation technique to improve the performance of conventional optical multi-pulse pulse-position modulation (MPPM) scheme in optical fiber communication systems.
