  • Abstract
The present study investigates the dielectric behavior of the ceramic insulated wire (CIW) as candidate to manufacturing of high-temperature electrical motor windings. To fully characterize this wire, different cases is considered as crossed samples, one side wrapped wire on cylinder and coils samples. The insulation resistance, capacitance and voltage strength are analyzed. Most of these electrical parameters are measured in environment like, air, oil, silicon resin and cement impregnation as function of temperature up to 500°C. The bending radius of ceramic insulated wires becomes crucial, therefore this aspect is taking into account.
