Abstract :
The analytical results reported in this paper refer to closed form solutions for evaluating the time domain diffraction coefficients to be used when plane waves are orthogonally incident on acute-angled lossless penetrable wedges. The time domain solutions are obtained for the internal region of the wedge and the surrounding space by performing the inverse Laplace transform of the corresponding uniform asymptotic Physical Optics solutions in the frequency domain. The knowledge of the analytical expressions of the diffraction coefficients allows one to evaluate the response to an arbitrary incident transient field via a convolution integral.
