Title :
Towards standardized statistical models for wireless communications terminals?

Abstract :
Contemporary wireless systems standards tend to contain more and more sophisticated radio channel models, while the terminals are, if any, described in a quite rough manner. This deficiency cannot satisfy requirements placed on physical layer designers and network planners, given that the true performance of a terminal in a radio link is far from negligible. The present communication addresses that issue and attempts to draw routes towards more satisfactory terminal model standardization.
