Abstract
In this paper, a design of reconfigurable printed antenna is presented. The antenna consists of square patch excited by a coaxial probe and adopted to operate at the frequency of 2.45GHz. By placing a variable capacitor in the antenna, it allows to reduce the antenna size with a wide range starting from 2.45GHz to 1.65GHz. We study the positions of the chip capacitor on the resonance frequency of the patch antenna. Prototype of the antenna and related results are presented and discussed.
