Abstract :
This paper describes the analysis of a slanted-comb frequency selective surface (SC-FSS) suitable for reducing the specular scatter of an incoming wave. The surface is optimized for reducing specular scatter at oblique angles of incidence. Compared to the original comb reflection FSS (CR-FSS), effective reduction in specular scatter is possible despite a large decrease in effective height, ensuring surface installation is as low profile as possible for integration into building materials and infrastructure. Frequency plots show the effect of changing the slant angle between 9 and 18 GHz.
