            Abstract : 
Power-efficient modulation formats are a key technology for optical transport networks. Recently, flexibility of spectral efficiency for efficient utilization of available bandwidth has become a central issue as well. In this contribution, we show that the demand for both flexibility and power efficiency can be fulfilled simultaneously using multidimensional constellations.
