Abstract :
Physical Uplink Control Channel (PUCCH) is used for transmitting the control signaling back to the Base Station (BS). In this paper, we consider six PUCCH formats which convey different control signaling. First, the various transmission procedures corresponding to different formats are introduced in detail. In order to improve the detection performance, a joint detection algorithm which is based on Minimum Mean Square Error (MMSE) detection is proposed. The proposed algorithm detects all received symbols jointly which is different from the conventional algorithm. What´s more, for multiuser case, the proposed algorithm is robust to the inter-user interference. As will be shown in the simulation results, the Frame Error Rate (FER) performance of the proposed algorithm is much better than the conventional algorithm. And the performance gap between single user case and multiuser case is negligible.
