Abstract
Paper shows results of the experimental researches of nanosized heterogeneous coatings of reed switch contacts on the base of iron and nickel nitrides. The process of the coating formation under the impact of plasma treatment of the contact surfaces under conditions of the hermetically sealed reed switch with nitrogen atmosphere is described. It is showed that nanosized heterogeneous FenN and NinN contact coatings with thickness about 20-25 nanometers are formed within the treatment process. Life time tests have shown that these nitride coatings provide increase of reed switch life time in 1.5-2 orders in comparison with reed switches without contact coatings.
