  • Abstract
    In this paper modeling and control aspects of a grid connected power conversion system and energy storage are presented and discussed in details. In comparison to the state of the art models, the model presented in this paper takes into account entire conversion system; variable speed drive converter, the interface dc-dc converter and the ultra-capacitor. Some simplifications of the model have been discussed too. A new control scheme is proposed is simple and easy to implement in comparison to state of the art solutions. The controllers design procedure has been described step by step. The proposed model and control algorithm have been verified by experiments on 5.5kW prototype.
