Abstract
Images like remote sensing images usually have a great deal of Gaussian noises, edge blurs etc. So a proper image enhancement algorithm which can remove noise and retain detail information is very important. In this paper a modified fuzzy-shrink image enhancement algorithm is proposed, which is in a combination of non-sub sampled contour-let transform (NSCT) domain and fuzzy domain. Compared with other similar methods like ant-shrink, sure-let, the proposed method is much better. The results show that the algorithm not only has optimal de-noising effect, but also the processed image is closer to the original image on the visual effects.
