Abstract :
This paper discusses the system level analysis of Envelope Tracking (ET) power amplifier (PA) applied to FDD transceivers by X-parameter model. In particular, efficiency and linearity of the transmitter are analyzed. Additionally is analyzed the receiver desensitization issue, due to the interaction with the transmitter. The system-level analysis led to the possible tradeoffs between the several system parameters, the implementation constraints and the system performance, as well as the most critical aspects for the effective development of ET-PA capable to deal with wide bandwidth signal.
