Abstract :
In this paper, we propose a novel audio information hiding algorithm for a stereo signal which embeds the information into the phase difference between stereo channels. In the encoder, the information is redundantly embedded at multiple distributed positions in the time-frequency domain for increasing robustness against attacks. In the decoder, the information is extracted with the weighted average of them. We also discuss a time marking method to detect the position of analyzing block in a blind manner. The experimental evaluation shows that the proposed method achieves both good audio quality and low bit error rate against attacks of band-pass filtering, additive Gaussian noise, and MP3 conversion.
