Abstract :
A long wavelength VCSEL/Metal-Semiconductor-Metal (MSM) PD transceiver has been fabricated using heterogeneous integration. The VCSEL integrated with the device is designed to emit at 1.3 μm wavelength. The VCSEL signal transmits through the silicon based PD. The device has been developed based on simple, low cost process and is suitable for customization for parallel processing.
