Abstract :
The paper proposes a current controller design for a solar micro grid inverter interfaced to a main grid. The H∞ Current controller designed is capable of injecting a clean current to the utility grid even in the presence of voltage disturbances. The voltage profile during sudden load changes, weather changes gets distorted and current being transmitted contains harmonics which significantly affects the system efficiency and leads to the depletion in lifetime of the inverters and solar cells. The PV modules and the controller are designed using the MATLAB/Simulink environment. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed system.
