Abstract
This paper intends to regulate speed and currents of six-phase induction motor (SPIM). Stationary frame proportional-resonant (PR), proportional-integral (PI) for both synchronous and stationary frame, and six-phase hysteresis regulators are designed and illustrated as new configurations in SPIM to achieve rapid speed change with acceptable under damped overshoot and passable current regulation response. Proposed algorithms are designed based on principles of vector control of SPIM. Simulation results verify that all of the aforesaid configurations are acceptable to implement for SPIM.
