Abstract :
This paper surveys the robust PID synthesis for load frequency control (LFC) of power plants in the presence of load uncertainty. It is verified that robust stability and robust performance problems for LFC are similar to the problem of robust stabilizing a plant with an uncertain parameter. The family of robust PID controllers that satisfy performance specifications can be obtained using the procedure of new model free approach in frequency domain. The simulation results show the effectiveness of the proposed approach.
