Abstract
In recent years Wireless Sensor Networks (WSN) have experienced an exponential growth. Among the several applications for WSN, image processing and its delivery is one of the most challenging due to the limited resources that sensor nodes offer. In this paper a protocol based on distributed Discrete Wavelet Transform for wireless communication is presented. The goal is to distribute the workload among several sensor nodes to have maximum lifetime of the network. Simulations are done with Cooja, the Contiki simulator; programs are written for TinyOS.
