Abstract :
In this paper, a two elements antenna array constructed by using a perturbed Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) square cavity backed slot antenna is presented. By employing perturbation technique, using a corner cut in the SIW cavity, resonant frequency of two degenerated modes are separated, and in consequence, antenna impedance bandwidth is improved and antenna gain of 9.45 dBi is obtained at Ku band. The proposed antenna array still maintains advantages of a single antenna element including low profile, low cost and easy integration with planar structures which could be used in large antenna array. The simulated and measured results of the proposed array are presented, which shows a very good agreement.
