Abstract
The time-frequency analysis for GPR signal encounters two problems. The first one is because of the echo signal contains very high frequency component so the GPR system employs equivalent-time sampling, this will lead to that the frequency of received signal is not equal to the real signal. The second one is the non-linear and non-stationary feature of the GPR signal. In this paper, a method for time-frequency analysis based on HHT using in equivalent-time sampling GPR system is presented, and compared to the FFT and morlet wavelet on real GPR data sets. The experiment result proves the method an improvement in analysis.
