Abstract
A new digital lookup table adaptive pre-distortion technique for power amplifier linearization is presented. This approach uses a multi-port receiver at linearization loop in place of a classic heterodyne receiver. The five-port receiver is implemented by use of the passive microwave circuits and detector diodes. The system is designed to satisfy 3G power amplifier specifications. The performance of the proposed structure is studied by using measurement and simulation results. This structure introduces a low-cost, low complexity and high performance linear power amplifier for wireless applications.
