Abstract
In this paper we propose a New Resource Allocation Protocol for tactical scenario based on mobile Ad Hoc networks. A dynamic slot assignment scheme for Time Division Multiple Access (TDMA) under frequency hopping environment is proposed, in which control slots are provided to every node to cater the hidden and exposed terminal problems. As in the tactical scenario voice is the most important service, in this protocol voice is being provided on a guaranteed basis. Network information is also flooded in such a manner that all the nodes have complete network picture all the time which results in reduced routing overheads and delays. The analysis clearly shows that the proposed design provides a guaranteed voice service, minimum routing overheads and minimum resource reservation delay.
