Abstract :
The paper presents an algorithm of symmetrical discrete frequency control for the three-phase AC-chopper with mutual switching function. Possible fundamental frequencies of the output voltage for the direct and indirect phase sequence are defined and the basic and total switching functions are developed. The results of analysis were verified by simulation. The designed control algorithm can be used for the combined start of an induction motor and for its reverse.
