Abstract :
The purpose of this study is to investigate ship motions of a small trawler with advanced speed in wash wave. Authors have proposed a reproduction method of wash wave by wave generator. By using the reproduction method of wash wave, the ship motions of the small trawler with an advanced speed in wash wave of a container ship reproduced by wave generators were measured. The advanced speeds of the small trawler model are high and low speeds. The experimental results indicated that difference of roll and pitch motions at high and low speeds is small, but the vertical acceleration at high speed is remarkably larger than that at lower speed. The small trawler at high speed in wash wave is in the dangerous situation even if ship motions are not large.
