Abstract :
This paper proposes two unique optimization techniques over USB 2.0 scheduler for addressing low latency requirement of embedded systems. The first optimization technique proposes the new priority based scheduling algorithm of USB 2.0 scheduler for non-periodic data transfer. The second technique is a simple insertion algorithm for scheduling periodic data transfer in USB 2.0 scheduler. The capability of this work is demonstrated over a Linux system prototype, for which we have encouraging results.
