Abstract
The signal output of FMCW radar is in the audio range and it is very noisy, due to other reflections beside the target of interest. To obtain range and speed information, additional signal processing is needed to achieve better accuracy. Here, we use an FIR filter using the window method with a cutoff frequency approximately four times the estimated output beat frequency of the radar. For the window, we use the 0-th discrete Prolate function, Chebyshev and Kaiser windows.
