Abstract :
With the development of science and technology, the dumb sensors have been unable to meet new requirements in functions and performances. Therefore, micro-processor and intelligence technology have been applied to make the sensors have functions of nonlinear self-testing, self-calibration, self-protection, and transmit data through Internet by supporting TCP/IP protocols, which is the earliest prototype of the embedded web sensors. This paper fully discusses the research and application of embedded web sensors. It firstly proposes the definition and features of embedded web sensors on the basis of its development background and research situation. Then the architecture and key technologies are introduced in details, including embedded web servers and web remote signals collection. Furthermore, the paper presents sensor design with embedded web sensors based on IEEE1451.2 as an example. The application fields and developing prospect are also illustrated in the last.
