  • Abstract
    Combustion experiments on polystyrene and gasoline were carried out under fire condition and analyzed the combustion disturbance of polystyrene on gasoline. The experimental results show that: there have many common elements in the polystyrene and gasoline combustion products, so it´s difficult to draw fire hazard identification conclusions from the analysis of combustion elements. Using gas chromatography - mass spectrometry identification method, it can identify the combustion of gasoline alone or polystyrene alone or gasoline with polystyrene which can provide the scientific basis and evidence for the cause of the fire.
