Abstract
The application prospect and development bottleneck of video monitoring system in Big Data era are discussed in this paper. For breaking the bottleneck, the development status of Big Data processing technology is investigated, and the Hadoop technology which has been widely used nowadays is particularly introduced. Considering the feature of video monitoring, a solution of Big Data video monitoring has been proposed based on Hadoop. The framework of the system has been described and the key technologies have been analyzed. Finally, the real-time processing for massive video monitoring and setting up of Big Data analyze model have been pointed out as the difficult and important work for next step research.
