Abstract :
In this paper, a high-quality visible and infrared images fusion method based on the double Nonsubsampled Contourlet Transform (NSCT) was proposed. The novel self-adapting subband coefficient computing and choosing model was firstly proposed based on the image local energy, and then the visible and infrared images fusion implementation process with the double NSCT was presented. Finally, two typical images sets experiments shown the proposed fusion method could compensate the redundant information of the visible image to the once fusion image and has the better performance than the traditional methods.
