Abstract
This paper aims to imply digitization for the book publishing industry to promote Chinese book trade. The paper initially provides a snapshot of Chinese book publishing in a global context, and then summarizes our findings on the current and potential future impact of digital technologies. The paper discusses the use of semantic Web in book publishing, its limitations, risks and its opportunities it offer to the book publishing industry.
