  • Abstract
Design and analysis of microstrip filter using stepped impedance with cut off frequency of 2.0GHz has been presented through CST Studio Software using FR4 lossy as the substrate of 1.6mm thickness. Further the above results are compared with square shaped 3 periodic CSRR structures and also with a single rectangular CSRR structure on the on the ground plane. On further analysis, we found that the roll off rate increases more rapidly in the case of a single rectangular CSRR as compared to 3 periodic CSRR on the ground plane, the Q-factor also changes in the same manner. The cut-off frequency decreases more in single rectangular CSRR as compared to 3 periodic CSRR on ground plane.
