Abstract :
On the basis of X-ray diffraction, IR, UV and combinational scattering spectroscopic studies of binary CdS, CdTe semiconductor compounds and their substitutional solid solutions of various compositions the change patterns in the composition of the crystal-chemical (structural), spectroscopic and electrical (forbidden-band width) CdS - CdTe semiconductor properties have been determined which allowes to determine their practical application possibility.
