Abstract :
In this paper we propose the design of two 2D periodic and planar absorbers for the microwave frequency range. The absorbers consist of a resonant element above a ground plane. The absorption of the power is obtained by a resistive termination connected to each receiving element in the periodic structure. The broadband design was obtained by an optimization process on the parameters of the elements.
