Abstract :
In this research, numbers of modifications have been made in INET Framework on OMNeT++ in order to fully support the traffic engineering simulation. Modifications include: improvement in CSPF algorithm, accommodation of centered and distributed taxonomy, automation of RSVP protocol & FEC component, improvement in CSPF to accommodate parallel routes, correction in RSVP path message termination, and adding bandwidth identities in simulation. The results with Long scenario show similar results with corresponding paper and further test results on complex topology show a simulation result that has been predicted in manual approach of CSPF algorithms. Both test results indicate that OMNeT++ is able to simulate automated traffic engineering and proven to accommodate a complex topology, after series of modifications in accordance with RFC standard protocol conducted on the INET Framework.
