Abstract :
Zhejiang T´ung-ji Weir is an representative of water conservancy irrigation engineering in the south of ancient China, which has nearly 1500 years history. The historical data of social background and natural conditions about the constructional evolution of T´ung-ji Weir indicates its structural characteristics as well as the hydraulic founction of key engineering, and also proposes its technological value and cultual vaule as it acts as a kind of active water heritage engineering. The conclusion can provide help for the modern water conservancy science and technology innovation and heritage protection.
