Abstract
We demonstrate air-suspended high-Q ring resonators based on multimode Bloch matching and resultant scatterer-avoiding “wiggler” supermode field. Device designs are fabricated in silicon-on-insulator and undercut to form air-suspended structures with measured Q´s up to 139, 000.
