Abstract :
Using TK-2D software, a 2-D tidal current numerical model of Zhanjiang Bay is set up. On the basis of model verification, numerical simulation of tidal current field is carried out, and a reclamation project to the north of Donghai Island is numerically simulated. According to the simulation results, the tidal current characteristics of Zhanjiang Bay are analyzed and the feasibility of the reclamation project is demonstrated in views of tidal current. The numerical model developed can be used to carry out tidal current numerical simulation of any project in Zhanjiang Bay.
