Abstract :
Deformation of large warship can be estimated by inertial matching method according to the outputs of IMU (Inertial Measurement Unit, laser gyro plus accelerometer). A evaluation environment has been developed in this paper, wave loads are calculated first and added to the FE(Finite Element) model of the warship, and then the deformation of each node can be calculated. The output of the IMU can be deduced from the output of the FE model, which will applied for the estimation about the local deformation based on the inertial matching method, the output of the FE model can be transformed to the ideal deformation for the proving of the validity of inertial matching method.
