Abstract :
This paper presents the high power buck-boost converter with accurate perturbation & observation maximum power point tracking (MPPT) control for wind energy conversion system (WECS). For fast varied of wind speed and pitch angle, the MPPT converter should work with fast response and wide range. This paper bring up a step up/down DC-DC converter to reach the goal and prove this circuit and control method can work in different type of situation by simulations and experiments.
