Abstract :
Monolithically integrated silicon Mach-Zehnder optical modulator including a silicon partial-rib polarization rotator is presented. 128-Gb/s dual-polarization quadrature phase-shift keying with passive insertion loss lower than 13 dB is demonstrated in +/-3.25-Vpp push-pull operation.
