  • Abstract
    We report the field trial of 480 Gb/s polarization division multiplexed (PDM) 16-quadrature amplitude modulation (QAM) on a single carrier (SC). Transmission over dark fiber and 100-GHz DWDM deployed link, under live traffics, is achieved for both high-loss, i.e. >30 dB, network configurations. Furthermore, a single carrier 256 Gb/s transmission is demonstrated over 50-GHz grid deployed network equipment. Post-FEC error free transmission is achieved for all three scenarios under investigation.
